Yesteryears, Ritman Group of Companies was just a concept - a dream. I nursed the dream and had the vision of a large expand of land developed into a service - oriented undertaking. By the grace of the Almighty God, that concept, that dream and that vision has today, been transformed into reality. Today, the large expanse of land I hand been asking God for has been granted. Today, Ritman Nig. Ltd, Gracib Farms, Ritman Nursery/Primary School, Ritman College (Boarding) and Ritman College Day School are the concrete outcomes of a vision strengthen by focus.
Management has considered it worth while in living a documentary of the achievements of the Ritman family for posterity. Ritman College Year Book has therefore become one of the organs for the documentary.
On behalf of Management and Board of Governors, I congratulate the Principal, his staff and students for their second edition of Ritman College Year Book. Indeed, it is a complete documentary that provides permanent records of our achievements in the session 2008/2009. I joyfully praise the Editorial Committee for the pains and time taken to collect, process and arrange the write-ups into a readable form.
As this school year is passing by, a reflection of our activities and programmes are necessary.
Management is embarking on the construction of more academic blocks, to accommodate the admission of more students into the boarding and day schools respectively. In line with the college policy of accommodating a sizeable number of students in a dormitory, more dormitories are being built. The project will soon be commissions.
Parents want their children to develop in morals and acquire learning. I am very satisfied in the organization of corporate worship in this school year. In addition, the orientation exercise and seminar that were held on Global warming, together with the several excursions embarked upon by the various college clubs, under staff guidance are rewarding. Ride on with these activities!
In the area of sports/ football, Ritman College did not fare badly. The College won Lutheran High School, Ikot Obong Edong, Ikot Ekpene and lost to Topfaith International Secondary School, Mkpatak. I am in love with Ritman College soccer stars. Several players in this promising team will in future wear the Nigerian Jersey.
Looking at the results of the Junior Secondary School and Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations in 2007/2008. I am proud to state that Ritman College recorded 100% success. With the great achievement recorded so far you would have realized that Ritman College is evolving from one glorious realm to another.
With its quality and experienced teachers, a conducive learning environment, light and water, a good refectory, well equipped laboratories, library, classroom and dormitories. Ritman College stands out as the best private school; parents should send their children to. Let us all continue to join hands together to uplift education in this country to regain its lost glory. Excellence and Service to Humanity are the family names in Ritman Group. Let us maintain these virtues together. You are welcome!
